Arrest with no conviction Expungements

In some cases, a person is arrested, but is not convicted of the crime charged. If you were arrested and were not convicted then you might be able to find relief. Sealing a record is one way you can find relief. That is by proving that you were factually innocent of the charged crime. Cal. Penal Code § 851.8 (2019) may provide the means for you to seal your arrest record. How about if your conviction was vacated or reversed? If this applies to you, then the next question to ask is whether or not the statute of limitations has run on each offense you were arrested for amongst other questions.

Are you ineligible for record sealing?

If you may still be charged for the crime that was the cause of your arrest then you are ineligible for record sealing or if the crime charged for was murder or some other crime that has no statute of limitations. There are few other reasons, but those are the main ones.
